When we were looking for a contractor to build our house we had several critical requirements; we needed a company that could handle the project for us while we lived over 1,000 miles away, one that could interpret our wishes based not only on the architectural plans but also on an understanding of our tastes as expressed in emails, phone conversations and infrequent site visits, and one that could show patience and flexibility as we inevitably requested changes as the project progressed.

Glennwood met and exceeded all of these challenges and provided us a home that had the attention to detail and the quality of finishes that, in our opinion, were over and above those of any other custom builder. Some of the more important contributions from Glennwood were helping us to select a local architect, making recommendations for an adjustment to the location of the house on the lot that we could not be present for but which turned out to be a great choice in maximizing our view and privacy, and working with us on material selection during the finishing phase. Also, working with Glennwood during construction allowed us to increase our run of panoramic picture windows, double the size of our outside patio and add a bonus room over the garage – all value added enhancements to our original concept.

Furthermore, even when the house was completed and we had moved in, Glennwood was always available to fix any issues that inevitably arise in a new house – in our minds it is this willingness to stay involved after we occupied the house that allows Glennwood to stand out from its competition and makes them the ideal choice for anyone wanting to build a quality custom home with a contractor that has always been there when needed.
